“Any ideas for a first look without a first look”? that was the question that sent the brides’ mind racing ahead to her wedding day at Convict Lake California. We pulled it off without spoiling that first glimpse of Krystle coming down the aisle.
Mt Morrison is the backdrop to Convict Lake, and the brides shoes, one of our favorite wedding venues.
The storm passed leaving the soft light all Master photographers wish for. Black and white shots can add to a wedding day, just a few to add a little spice. Catwalk Salon in Mammoth created a great look for Krystle. Paula did Krystle’s makeup Krystle and Jonathan met in college when the guy at the top of his class asked Krystle for help with homework..nice move Jonathan! He showed her the place he loved most..Mammoth Lakes and that is where he eventually proposed in the snow at Twin Lakes Krystle’s cute college friends from Cal Lutheran took a break whilst we took the the “must haves”. Everyone was there for Erin, even the fishermen at the lake heard the call to prayer and gathered at the back of Forest Chapel to witness this Jewish wedding at the outdoor chapel In Mammoth. Wedding photography continues to be our passion and to capture a whole family come together to celebrate is a privilege.
Red Lily designs recreated the bouquet from their wedding day.
We were not present on their Mammoth Lakes wedding day at Forest Chapel, “everyone was under the weather”, so The Cookes went with Jenny and Galen to the wedding chapel and captured some sunny memories.
Wedding photography in June Lake near Mammoth, in the summer months will always be one of our favorite photo days. Ashley and Cody have known each other forever, actually elementary school. Being a year ahead of Cody, Ashley was off to college when they realized there was just a spark….I just love stories of how couples met.
Ashley is a passionate girl, in Cody’s eyes her compassionate ways and warm smile always pick him up. Ashley wrote a love note, to open on a day in the future when it’s needed, gives you an idea of her caring ways. Red Lily in Mammoth shows what a splash of color can do against green summer grass.

Mammoth wedding days are special, it is such a privilege to be a Mammoth wedding photographer with a couple that are ready for spring weather at 11,053′.
We all had “A Mammoth Day”
Mammoth is a mountain ski town Mallory and Justin love, the perfect place to spend the day with family and friends. The day was filled with thunder and lightning that magically cleared as we rode the gondola to the “Top of Mammoth”.
They met at the gym after Justin figured out a way to crash Mallory’s conversation, he knew that this cute blond was something special…he was right.
They knew within the first few weeks that they wanted to spend their lives together. Justin loves Mallory’s kind and gentle personality, whilst Justin supports Mallory on everything she does and always makes her laugh. Mallory has the moves that makes everyone laugh.
Red Lily designed a bouquet of white with a gold wrap…perfect
The 11,053′ elevation at the “Top of Mammoth” is a great place work as a Mammoth wedding photographer, as a skier we know how cold this bride was.
The thrill of the view and the excitement of her wedding day was evident in Mallory’s radiant smile.
Black and whites tell a story of their own.
Hold the gondola! The crew on Mammoth Mountain always accommodate their guests. They wanted something simple, elegant and whimsical; SO the welcoming bear, champagne bar before the ride, gold accents and cake pops.
A bronze of a woolly mammoth is at the main ski lodge at Mammoth Mountain; a great photo prop for everyone that visits. Sisters in stilettos, brothers, a niece, nephew and friends, went out in the snow for the bridal party shot, we wore snow boots!
Mallory and Justin’s engagement session. We heard their love story and can retell the proposal. Justin was so nervous and excited, theirs was very spur of the moment after spending ages to find the perfect ring.
